Description
Delicious Air Fryer Chicken Bites and Broccoli: A Healthy and Flavorful Meal
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cup broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended.
2. Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, tossing to coat the pieces evenly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 24 hours) to allow the flavors to meld.
3. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
4. Prepare the Broccoli: While the air fryer is heating up, toss the broccoli florets in the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
5. Arrange in the Air Fryer Basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the marinated chicken cubes in a single layer in the basket, then arrange the seasoned broccoli florets around the chicken.
6. Air Fry: Cook the chicken and broccoli at 380°F (193°C) for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
7. Serve: Once the chicken is cooked through and the broccoli is tender-crisp, remove the basket from the air fryer. Serve the air fryer chicken bites and broccoli immediately, garnished with a squeeze of lemon or a sprinkle of fresh parsley, if desired.
Notes
Marination Time: The longer you can marinate the chicken, the more flavorful it will be. Aim for at least 30 minutes, but you can even let it sit overnight for maximum flavor.
Even Cooking: Be sure to arrange the chicken and broccoli in a single layer in the air fryer basket to promote even cooking and crisping.
Adjust Cooking Times: The size of your chicken cubes can affect the cooking time, so keep a close eye on them and adjust the time as needed to ensure the chicken is cooked through.
