Description
Crispy, juicy air fryer chicken tenders that are a healthier alternative to traditional frying.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Oil spray for greasing
Instructions
1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
2. In one bowl, mix the flour with the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
3. Dredge each chicken strip first in the seasoned flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil. Place the breaded chicken strips in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. Spray the tops of the strips with oil spray.
5. Air fry for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
6. Remove the chicken tenders from the basket, let them rest briefly, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Leftover air fryer chicken tenders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, use the air fryer or oven at 400°F for 5–7 minutes until hot and crispy.
