Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
 - ½ cup chopped onion
 - 1 clove garlic, minced
 - ½ teaspoon cumin
 - ¼ teaspoon salt
 - ⅛ teaspoon pepper
 - 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
 - 1 (4.5 ounce) can diced green chile peppers
 - 1 (15 ounce) can chili without beans
 - 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
 - 1 (10 ounce) can enchilada sauce
 - 6 (12-inch) flour tortillas, warmed
 - 2 cup shredded lettuce, divided
 - 1 cup chopped tomatoes, divided
 - 2 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend, divided
 - ½ cup chopped green onions, divided

Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and prepare a baking dish or casserole for the burritos.
2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, crumble the ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until it’s evenly browned. Drain any excess grease, then add the onion and cook until translucent. Stir in the garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper.
3. Incorporate the refried beans and diced green chile peppers into the beef mixture, stirring until well combined.
4. In a saucepan, combine the chili without beans, condensed tomato soup, and enchilada sauce. Mix well and heat the sauce until it’s warmed through.
5. Place a warmed tortilla on a plate and spoon a generous portion of the beef-bean mixture into the center. Top with some of the shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes. Carefully roll up the tortilla, tucking in the sides as you go.
6. Arrange the rolled burritos in the prepared baking dish. Spoon the sauce over each burrito, then sprinkle with the shredded cheese and chopped green onions. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the mixture is hot and bubbly.
7. Remove the baked wet burritos from the oven and serve hot, garnished with any remaining lettuce, tomatoes, and green onions.
Notes
To ensure your baked wet burritos turn out absolutely delicious, consider these helpful tips:
Make sure to crumble the beef and cook it until it’s evenly browned, allowing the flavors to develop fully.
Heating the tortillas briefly before assembly helps prevent tearing and makes them more pliable for rolling.
For a spicier version, use hotter varieties of green chiles or add a dash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
