Ingredients
- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cup marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Start by boiling the pasta shells according to the package directions until they reach an al dente texture. Drain the shells and set them aside to cool slightly.
2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it’s nicely browned. Season the beef with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain any excess fat.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and the egg. Mix until well-blended.
4. Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each cooked pasta shell with the beef and cheese mixture.
5. Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a baking dish, spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom. Arrange the stuffed shells on top and pour the remaining sauce over them. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
