Description

Get ready to take your pork chop game to the next level with these irresistible Bourbon Maple Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Pork Chops! This recipe is a flavor explosion, combining the richness of cream cheese, the savory goodness of bacon, and the sweet-and-tangy notes of bourbon and maple.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup of bourbon
  • 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut a pocket into each pork chop, being careful not to cut all the way through.

3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped green onions until well combined. Season the filling with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to taste.

4. Spoon the cheese filling into the pockets of the pork chops, making sure to distribute it evenly. If necessary, secure the chops with toothpicks to keep the filling in place.

5. Wrap each stuffed pork chop with 2 slices of bacon, securing the bacon with toothpicks if needed.

6. In a small bowl, whisk together the bourbon and maple syrup to create the sauce.

7. Place the bacon-wrapped, stuffed pork chops on a baking sheet. Brush the chops with the bourbon maple sauce. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.

8. Drizzle any remaining sauce over the top and serve.

Notes

Look for thick, bone-in pork chops that are at least 1 inch thick. This will provide enough space to create a generous pocket for the cheese filling.

When wrapping the pork chops in bacon, be sure to overlap the slices slightly to create complete coverage. You can secure the bacon with toothpicks if needed.

Keep a close eye on the pork chops while they’re in the oven, and use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
