Cheeseburger Egg Rolls are the ultimate fusion food, blending the irresistible flavors of a classic cheeseburger with the crispy, craveable texture of an egg roll. Whether you’re hosting a party, craving a tasty snack, or simply looking to try something new, these delectable bites are sure to satisfy.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package egg roll wrappers
Instructions
1. Begin by heating the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Then, add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds, until fragrant.
2. Next, add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease from the pan.
3. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
4. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it’s melted and incorporated into the beef mixture. Let the filling cool slightly.
5. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape. Spoon about 2 tablespoon of the beef and cheese mixture onto the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll up tightly. Seal the edge with a little water.
6. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F. Fry the eggrolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain the cooked eggrolls on paper towels.
7. Serve the hot Cheeseburger Egg Rolls with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ketchup, ranch, or a zesty burger sauce.
Notes
Cheeseburger Egg Rolls pair exceptionally well with a variety of dipping sauces. Classic ketchup or ranch dressing are always crowd-pleasers, but you can also get creative with specialty burger sauces, such as a tangy and creamy burger sauce or a spicy chipotle mayo.
