Description

Get ready to wow your guests with these mouthwatering Cheesy Bacon Chicken Pinwheels! This easy-to-make appetizer combines the perfect blend of savory flavors, crispy bacon, and melty cheese – all wrapped up in a flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 6 ounce bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, crispy crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until well incorporated.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangular shape.
  4. Spread the chicken filling evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Carefully roll the pastry tightly into a log, starting from one of the longer sides.
  6. Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled log into 1-inch pinwheels.
  7. Arrange the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they’re not touching.
  8. Brush the tops of the pinwheels with the beaten egg to achieve that gorgeous golden-brown finish.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the pinwheels are golden brown and crispy.
  10. If desired, sprinkle the warm pinwheels with some fresh chopped parsley for an extra pop of color and flavor.

Notes

These Cheesy Bacon Chicken Pinwheels are best served warm, straight out of the oven. They can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
