Description

Cheesy Garlic Bread Sloppy Joe Melts are the ultimate comfort food—crispy garlic bread topped with savory, tangy sloppy joe filling and melted cheese. This dish is an irresistible combination of bold flavors and gooey cheese, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

For the Sloppy Joe Filling:

  • Ground beef

  • Onion, finely chopped

  • Garlic, minced

  • Ketchup

  • Tomato paste

  • Worcestershire sauce

  • Brown sugar

  • Salt and pepper

For the Garlic Bread Base:

  • French bread or hoagie rolls, halved

  • Butter, melted

  • Garlic powder

  • Parsley, chopped

  • Shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Cook Beef Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease. Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook until soft. Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.

  • Make Garlic Bread: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley. Brush the mixture over the halved bread.

  • Assemble & Bake: Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the garlic bread. Top with shredded cheese. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Serve: Garnish with extra parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use hoagie rolls or any type of hearty bread for the base.

  • To add extra flavor, sprinkle red pepper flakes on top for a spicy kick.

  • For a healthier version, you can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.

  • If you prefer a more decadent meal, try adding a layer of melted cheese on top of the sloppy joe mixture.
