- 6 slices Texas toast
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: Dried parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
- Place the bread slices on the prepared baking sheet and spread the butter mixture evenly over both sides of the bread.
- Bake the buttered toast in the oven for 5 minutes. Remove it and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over each slice. Top with a slice of provolone cheese.
- Return the toast to the oven for another 6-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Sprinkle on some dried parsley for garnish if desired, then serve warm.
