This dish combines the best of Asian cuisine, delivering a harmonious balance of umami, sweetness, and subtle heat that will tantalize your taste buds. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick weeknight dinner or craving a comforting and indulgent noodle dish, Chicken Teriyaki Noodles are sure to become a new family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 8 ounce noodles (egg noodles, udon, or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions

1. Combine the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl. Add the sliced chicken and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate for at least 20 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.

2. While the chicken is marinating, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain the noodles and set them aside.

3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and the remaining sauce from the marinade. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened into a delectable glaze.

4. In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat. Add the cooked noodles and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Toss and stir-fry the noodles for 2-3 minutes, ensuring they are evenly coated and heated through.

5. Finally, add the glazed chicken to the stir-fried noodles and toss everything together until well combined. The chicken’s savory-sweet teriyaki coating will infuse the noodles with its irresistible flavor.

6. To serve, sprinkle the Chicken Teriyaki Noodles with sesame seeds, thinly sliced green onions, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes (if desired).

Notes

Teriyaki sauce adds a delightful glaze to the chicken, creating a mouthwatering caramelized coating.

Sesame oil enhances the overall taste of the dish, tying all the components together.

A touch of honey balances the saltiness of the soy sauce, lending a subtle sweetness that complements the teriyaki flavors.

Ginger and garlic bring depth and complexity to the marinade, infusing the chicken with their warm, earthy notes.
