These chili garlic udon noodles are the perfect spicy, savory, and satisfying meal you can whip up in under 20 minutes.
Ingredients
2 servings udon noodles (fresh or frozen)
3 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 tablespoon chili flakes or chili crisp
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
Optional toppings: green onions, sesame seeds, jammy egg, shrimp, tofu
Instructions
1. Prepare udon noodles according to package instructions. Rinse and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a wok or skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden.
3. Add chili flakes or chili crisp and stir for 30 seconds to release flavor.
4. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, and sugar. Mix well.
5. Add cooked noodles and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
6. Top with your favorite garnishes and serve hot.
Notes
Adjust chili level to taste. Add vegetables like bok choy or mushrooms if desired.
For protein, use shrimp, chicken, or tofu.
