Description

Indulge in the Festive Delight of Christmas Sugar Cookie Cheesecake. This luscious dessert combines the buttery goodness of sugar cookies with the rich, creamy texture of cheesecake, making it a must-have for any Christmas celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cup sugar cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup mini red and green candy-coated chocolate pieces
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar cookie crumbs with the melted butter until well-incorporated. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan.

3. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract, sour cream, and heavy cream until fully combined.

4. Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust, smoothing the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.

5. Turn off the oven and crack the door, allowing the cheesecake to cool gradually for 1 hour. Then let it cool completely on a wire rack. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

6. Just before serving, sprinkle the candy-coated chocolate pieces over the top and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Prevent Cracks: Gradually cooling the cheesecake in the oven helps prevent cracks.

Test for Doneness: The cheesecake is done when edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.

Flavor Variations: Experiment with different cookie flavors for unique variations.
