Description
Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread is a delightful quick bread with a moist crumb and swirls of cinnamon-sugar, perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter or vegetable oil
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup sugar (for cinnamon swirl)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add the melted butter (or oil) and mix until well combined.
3. Stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract until uniform.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, being careful not to overmix.
6. In a small bowl, combine 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon for the swirl.
7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
8. Add the remaining banana bread batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Swirl the mixture into the batter using a knife or a toothpick.
9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
10. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use very ripe, spotty bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture.
Be gentle when mixing the batter to avoid tough, dense bread.
Adjust baking time as necessary to prevent overbaking.
