Description

Creamy Cajun Chicken Bowtie Pasta is a delicious, creamy pasta dish bursting with bold Cajun flavor, combining tender chicken, bowtie pasta, and a silky garlic cheese sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound bowtie pasta
  • 6 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, toss the cubed chicken with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned chicken cubes. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil or butter to prevent sticking.
  4. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, whisking together. Allow to simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheeses until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Add cooked pasta and seared chicken to the skillet with the garlic cheese sauce. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with extra grated Parmesan cheese and chopped green onions.

Notes

For dietary restrictions, substitute gluten-free pasta or dairy-free alternatives like coconut milk. Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
