Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin
- 1 cup penne pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Reserve 1 cup of cooking water before draining.
2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sear the beef slices until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
4. Add heavy cream and beef broth to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
6. Return beef to the skillet and add cooked pasta. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired sauce consistency.
Notes
This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. Reheat with a splash of broth or cream to revive the sauce.
