- 8 ounce high-protein pasta
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 4 ounce cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- Cook the high-protein pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the crushed garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional minute.
- Add the tomato paste and tomato sauce to the skillet. Simmer for about 5 minutes to thicken.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and creamy.
- Add the cooked high-protein pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the sauce. Stir in the chopped basil.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
To ensure perfect pasta, cook it al dente.
If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or broth.
