- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cooked egg noodles
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the diced onion, sliced mushrooms, and minced garlic. Sauté until tender and onions are translucent. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Pour in heavy cream and beef broth, mixing until well combined.
- Fold in cooked egg noodles and half of the shredded Swiss cheese until evenly coated.
- Spoon the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle remaining Swiss cheese on top, followed by breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted, bubbly, and breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh chopped parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
This casserole can be customized with different cheeses or additional vegetables. Serve with a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
