Description

Prepare to be the hit of the party with these utterly irresistible Crispy Buffalo Chicken Bacon Mozzarella Sticks! This mouthwatering appetizer combines the bold flavors of buffalo chicken, the richness of melted mozzarella, and the salty crunch of bacon – all wrapped up in a crispy golden-brown breading.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

1. Start by mixing the shredded chicken with the buffalo sauce in a bowl until the chicken is evenly coated.

2. Next, take a piece of mozzarella cheese and wrap it with the buffalo chicken, then wrap that with a slice of bacon.

3. In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

4. Dredge each buffalo chicken-wrapped mozzarella stick in the flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, and then coat it in the seasoned breadcrumbs.

5. In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the breaded mozzarella sticks in batches for 3-4 minutes until they’re golden brown and crispy.

Notes

These sticks are best served hot, straight out of the fryer. They pair perfectly with extra buffalo sauce for dipping, as well as ranch or blue cheese dressing.

You can also bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes for a healthier alternative.
