Description

Crispy Chicken Bacon Wrap: A Delightful Fusion of Flavors


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board and use a meat mallet to pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub this seasoning mixture over the chicken breasts.
  4. In a medium bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until creamy.
  5. Spread a generous spoonful of the cheese filling over one side of each chicken breast.
  6. Lay two slices of bacon side by side, slightly overlapping. Place a chicken breast, cheese side up, at one end of the bacon and roll it up tightly. Secure with toothpicks if necessary. Repeat for remaining chicken breasts.
  7. In a large, oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken bacon wraps seam side down for 3-4 minutes on each side until the bacon is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  9. Once cooked through, remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice into bite-sized pieces or serve whole, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For crispy bacon, cook until crispy before wrapping around chicken.

Pounding chicken breasts to an even thickness helps them cook evenly.

Allowing wraps to rest before slicing helps the cheese filling set.
