Description

Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is a creamy, comforting slow-cooker dish perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 12 ounce garlic parmesan sauce
  • 8 ounce cream cheese, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 ounce dry pasta (penne or rotini)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot. Season the chicken with the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Drizzle the garlic parmesan sauce over the chicken, then top with the pieces of cream cheese and the grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  5. Once the cooking time is up, remove the chicken from the crockpot and use two forks to shred it into bite-sized pieces. Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir it into the creamy sauce.
  6. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the dry pasta according to the package instructions until it’s al dente. Drain the pasta and add it to the crockpot, stirring everything together until well combined.
  7. Ladle the delectable Crockpot Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta into bowls, garnishing with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes (if desired).

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use low-fat or non-fat cream cheese and Parmesan cheese.
