Description
Crockpot Steak and Potatoes is a comforting, flavor-packed meal that is easy to make and perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound sirloin steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 1/2 pound baby potatoes, halved
Instructions
1. Season the sirloin steak cubes with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, ensuring they’re evenly coated.
2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil and sear the steak cubes until they’re nicely browned on all sides.
3. Place the seared steak cubes into your slow cooker. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme. Gently stir to combine.
4. Carefully arrange the halved baby potatoes in the crockpot, making sure they’re submerged in the flavorful liquid.
5. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the steak is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
6. Once the cooking time is up, sprinkle some fresh parsley over the top, if desired, and serve this hearty meal warm.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can opt for leaner cuts of beef or reduce the amount of potatoes used.
