Description

Indulge in the rich and creamy deliciousness of Baked Caesar Chicken with Creamy Parmesan Sauce – a dish that’s sure to become a family favorite. This easy-to-prepare recipe combines tender chicken breasts, a savory Caesar dressing, and a decadent Parmesan cheese topping for a meal that’s both comforting and impressive.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs or croutons, crushed
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray. If the chicken breasts are uneven in thickness, use a meat pounder to pound them to an even 3/4 to 1 inch thickness.
  2. Sprinkle the chicken breasts on both sides with 1/2 cup of the grated Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Place the seasoned chicken in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the Caesar dressing and sour cream. Pour this creamy mixture over each chicken breast, spreading it to coat the meat evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese on top.
  4. Bake the Baked Caesar Chicken at 375°F for 20 minutes. While the chicken is baking, melt the butter and mix it with the crushed panko breadcrumbs or croutons. You can also add more Parmesan, pepper, or garlic powder to the breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor.
  5. After 20 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and sprinkle the top with the breadcrumb mixture. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Finally, turn the oven to broil and broil the Baked Caesar Chicken for about 2 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.
  7. Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven, cover it loosely with foil, and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

To ensure your Baked Caesar Chicken is juicy and tender, be sure not to overcook it. The internal temperature should reach 165°F when measured with a meat thermometer. Letting the chicken rest after baking also helps lock in moisture and flavor.
