Description
Easy Pecan Pie Bars are a handheld version of the classic Southern dessert, offering a crisp crust and gooey, nutty filling, perfect for holiday gatherings or anytime you crave a sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup chopped pecans, lightly toasted
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease or line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, combine the flour, butter, and salt until a crumbly dough forms. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
3. While the crust is baking, whisk together the brown sugar, eggs, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Stir in the toasted pecans.
4. Once the crust is pre-baked, pour the pecan filling over the top, spreading it evenly. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly tacky.
5. Allow the Easy Pecan Pie Bars to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing them into squares.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for a smooth crust.
Toast the pecans beforehand to enhance their flavor.
Avoid overbaking the filling to keep it moist and gooey.
Chill the bars completely before cutting for clean slices.
Utilize parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.
