Description
Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak with Garlic Herb Gravy is a comforting dish featuring tender beef patties in a rich, savory gravy, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 can (10.5 ounce) cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet dry au jus mix
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, half of the onion soup mix, and minced garlic. Mix until well combined, then shape into 6 oval-shaped patties.
2. Lightly dredge the patties in the all-purpose flour. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the patties on both sides.
3. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, the remaining onion soup mix, the au jus mix, water, thyme, and rosemary.
4. Place the browned patties into the slow cooker and pour the gravy mixture over the top. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours until cooked through and tender.
5. Spoon the gravy over the patties and serve with sides like mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
Feel free to adjust seasoning to your taste. You can add more onion soup mix or a splash of heavy cream for a creamier gravy.
Experiment with different meats like ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
