Description
Garlic Butter Shrimp Sausage and Broccoli is a flavor-packed dish combining shrimp, sausage, and broccoli in a garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 pound sausage, sliced
- 2 cup broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
1. Peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tails on if desired. Slice the sausage and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoon of olive oil and cook the sausage slices until browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the broccoli florets for 5-6 minutes until tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper, then remove the broccoli from the skillet and set aside.
4. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
5. In a small saucepan, melt 4 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden.
6. Return the sausage, broccoli, and shrimp to the skillet. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the ingredients and toss everything together to coat evenly.
Notes
For a spicier version, consider adding red pepper flakes or using a spicy sausage variety.
This dish can be made dairy-free by substituting butter with a plant-based alternative.
