- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 pound gnocchi
- 6 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and season them with salt, pepper, and dried Italian herbs. Cook the chicken until it’s golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds, being careful not to let it burn.
- Pour in the chicken broth and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. This will add a deeper layer of flavor to the dish.
- Add the gnocchi to the skillet and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gnocchi starts to become tender.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour in the heavy cream. Gently stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, along with the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir everything together until the cheese has melted and the chicken is heated through.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper as needed.

Notes
You can use either store-bought or homemade gnocchi for this recipe. Adjust the amount of heavy cream to achieve your desired sauce consistency.
