Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper (freshly cracked)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 12 ounce penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and season with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned and cooked through.
  3. In the same skillet, combine honey, soy sauce, black pepper, apple cider vinegar, and hot sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. In a separate skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and let simmer for a couple of minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the creamy garlic sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired consistency.
  6. Plate the creamy garlic pasta and top with honey pepper chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra black pepper.
