Description

Juicy Apple Butter Pork Chops are the ultimate fall comfort food, blending the sweetness of apple butter with the savory flavors of seared pork chops. This easy-to-make dish is a true crowd-pleaser, perfect for cozy weeknight dinners or impressive weekend meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 2 Honeycrisp apples, sliced
  • 1/2 cup apple butter
  • 2 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 sprig rosemary, chopped
  • 3 sage leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Generously season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.

2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the pork chops until they develop a nice golden-brown crust, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the chops and tent them to keep warm.

3. In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced onion, apple slices, and fresh herbs (if using). Sauté until the onions are translucent and the apples are tender.

4. To the skillet, add the apple butter, whole grain mustard, and water. Stir well to coat the onions and apples. Return the pork chops to the skillet and cook for about 5 more minutes, or until the pork is heated through and the sauce has thickened.

5. Place the pork chops on plates and spoon the apple butter sauce with onions and apples over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Juicy Apple Butter Pork Chops pair beautifully with creamy mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, or a fresh salad. A medium-bodied red wine or a crisp, off-dry white wine complements this dish perfectly.
