Description

Elevate your vegetable game with the irresistible combination of Maple Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts. This dish takes humble Brussels sprouts to new heights by pairing them with the salty-sweet perfection of crispy bacon and rich maple syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 5 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with the olive oil, salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated. Spread the seasoned sprouts cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet, then scatter the chopped bacon on top.

2. Roast the Maple Bacon Roasted Brussels in the preheated oven for 20 minutes without disturbing them. Remove the pan from the oven and drizzle the maple syrup over the sprouts and bacon. Using tongs, gently toss the mixture to ensure the sprouts and bacon are evenly coated. Return the pan to the oven and continue roasting for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender, caramelized, and the bacon is crisp.

3. Once the Maple Bacon Roasted Brussels are perfectly cooked, transfer them to a serving dish and serve hot, while they’re still fresh from the oven.

Notes

Maple Bacon Roasted Brussels pair beautifully with a variety of main dishes. Serve them alongside roasted chicken, pork chops, or a hearty vegetarian entree. They also make a fantastic addition to holiday menus.
