Description
The Maple Bacon Waffle Burger is a culinary fusion that combines the buttery goodness of a waffle with a juicy beef patty, melted cheese, crispy maple-glazed bacon, and a drizzle of pure maple syrup.
Ingredients
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 1/2 pound ground beef (80/20)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 12 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 6 slices cheese (cheddar or American)
- 6 eggs for frying
- Butter for cooking eggs
- Extra maple syrup for drizzling
- Avocado slices (optional)
Instructions
1. Make the Waffles: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using). In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is smooth and lump-free. Cook the batter in a preheated waffle maker until golden brown and crispy. Set the waffles aside.
2. Prepare the Burger Patties: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Gently form the mixture into 6 evenly-sized patties. Grill or pan-fry the patties until cooked to your desired doneness, topping them with slices of melted cheese during the last minute of cooking.
3. Cook the Maple Bacon: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Arrange the bacon slices on a baking sheet. In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper (if using). Brush this maple-sugar mixture over the bacon. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized.
4. Fry the Eggs: In a skillet, melt a small amount of butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs and fry them sunny-side up or to your preferred doneness.
5. Assemble the Maple Bacon Waffle Burger: Place one waffle as the base, then top it with a burger patty, crispy maple bacon, a fried egg, optional avocado slices, and a drizzle of extra maple syrup. Finish the masterpiece with another waffle as the top bun.
