Description

Maple Mustard Apple Chicken Burgers are a delightful fusion of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors that will have your taste buds dancing with joy. This unique burger recipe combines the juicy goodness of ground chicken with the crisp crunch of apples, the smoky richness of bacon, and the tantalizing tang of Dijon mustard and maple syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup chopped fresh apples
  • 1 tablespoon dried sage
  • 1/4 cup minced parsley
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 6 slices Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 brioche buns

Instructions

1. Whisk together the Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and maple syrup in a bowl. Chill the sauce in the refrigerator.

2. In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate, reserving 1 teaspoon of bacon grease.

3. Sauté the minced red onion and garlic in the reserved grease until softened. Deglaze with apple juice, scraping up browned bits. Stir in bacon, chopped apple, sage, and parsley. Allow to cool.

4. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, panko breadcrumbs, and cooled mixture. Divide into 6 patties and chill for 30 minutes.

5. Preheat grill to medium heat. Cook patties for 6-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 6-8 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Top each patty with cheese in the last minute of cooking.

6. Assemble burgers on toasted brioche buns with chilled sauce and desired toppings.

Notes

These burgers pair beautifully with crispy french fries or a refreshing summer salad.
