Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2–3 pound chicken breasts
- 1 ounce ranch seasoning mix
- 1 ounce au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 8–12 pepperoncini peppers
- 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare your slow cooker by spraying the interior with cooking spray or lining it with a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.
- Add the chicken breasts to the bottom of the slow cooker, making sure they are not piled on top of each other for even cooking.
- Season the chicken by pouring the pepperoncini juice over the top. Then, evenly sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix over the chicken breasts.
- Place the butter pieces on top of the chicken and arrange the pepperoncini peppers around and on top of the chicken.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks and toss it with the buttery pepperoncini sauce.
Notes
Serve over creamy mashed potatoes, fluffy white rice, or egg noodles. Can also be used as a filling for sandwiches or tacos.
