Description
One-Pan Honey Butter Garlic Chicken and Rice is an easy-to-prepare dish that combines the savory goodness of chicken, the sweetness of honey, and the irresistible aroma of garlic, all nestled in a bed of fluffy jasmine rice. It’s a complete meal that comes together in a single skillet.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: chopped parsley, green onions, red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
2. Season the cubed chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the hot pan. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same pan, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
4. Stir in the jasmine rice, honey, and soy sauce. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
5. Place the cooked chicken on top of the rice mixture, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
6. Fluff the rice with a fork, garnish with parsley, green onions, or red pepper flakes if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
This dish is versatile; you can substitute chicken with tofu or chickpeas for a vegetarian option. Adjust cooking times accordingly. For a spicy version, add chili paste or sriracha.
