Description

One-Pot Zesty Steak Pasta is the ultimate weeknight dinner solution – it’s easy to make, packed with flavor, and sure to satisfy the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sliced steak (sirloin or flank)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 14.5 ounce canned diced tomatoes
  • 2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup uncooked penne or fusilli pasta
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

1. 1. Start by heating the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak, season it with salt and pepper, and sear it until it’s nicely browned. Once seared, remove the steak from the pot and set it aside.

2. 2. In the same pot, add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced red bell pepper. Sauté these ingredients for 3-4 minutes, or until they’re softened and fragrant.

3. 3. Next, stir in the diced tomatoes with their juice, the beef broth, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Bring this flavorful mixture to a boil.

4. 4. Once the liquid is boiling, add the uncooked pasta to the pot. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and let the pasta cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it’s tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.

5. 5. Return the seared steak to the pot and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for 2 more minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the cheese to melt, creating a creamy, zesty sauce.

6. 6. Finally, sprinkle the dish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired. Serve this One-Pot Zesty Steak Pasta hot and enjoy the burst of flavor in every bite!

Notes

Choose a well-marbled steak for tender results.

Adjust red pepper flakes to suit your spice preference.

Stir pasta occasionally during simmering to prevent sticking.

Add broth or water if pasta seems dry.
