Description

One-Pot Zesty Steak Pasta is a hearty and satisfying pasta recipe that combines tender steak, fresh vegetables, and a zesty tomato-based sauce, all cooked together in a single pot for a hassle-free and delicious dinner.

Ingredients

  • sliced steak (sirloin or flank)
  • pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • olive oil
  • onion
  • garlic
  • red bell pepper
  • canned diced tomatoes
  • beef broth
  • Italian seasoning
  • red pepper flakes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Parmesan cheese
  • fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Start by heating the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak, season it with salt and pepper, and sear it until it’s nicely browned. Once seared, remove the steak from the pot and set it aside.

2. In the same pot, add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced red bell pepper. Sauté these ingredients for 3-4 minutes, or until they’re softened and fragrant.

3. Next, stir in the diced tomatoes with their juice, the beef broth, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Bring this flavorful mixture to a boil.

4. Once the liquid is boiling, add the uncooked pasta to the pot. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and let the pasta cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it’s tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.

5. Return the seared steak to the pot and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for 2 more minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the cheese to melt, creating a creamy, zesty sauce.

6. Finally, sprinkle the dish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired. Serve this One-Pot Zesty Steak Pasta hot and enjoy the burst of flavor in every bite!

Notes

Choose a well-marbled steak, like sirloin or flank, for the most tender and flavorful results.

Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to suit your spice preference – start with 1 teaspoon and add more if you like it extra zesty.

Be sure to stir the pasta occasionally during the simmering process to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.

If the pasta seems dry toward the end, add a splash of broth or water to keep it moist and creamy.
