One-Skillet Smoky Cajun Sausage & Cheese Mac is a comforting and flavor-packed meal that combines creamy pasta with spicy Cajun sausage.
Ingredients
- 1 pound smoked sausage
- 2 cup elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Sauté the sliced sausage in a large skillet until browned.
2. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
3. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, then stir in the uncooked macaroni and Cajun seasoning.
4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta is tender.
5. Stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and creamy.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot.
