Description

Oven Baked BBQ Pork Tenderloin is a mouthwatering, easy-to-prepare dish that’s perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re hosting a backyard BBQ or looking for a tasty weeknight dinner, this recipe will have your taste buds dancing with delight.

Ingredients

  • Pork Tenderloins: 2 tenderloins, each 1 to 1.5 pounds.
  • Barbecue Sauce: 1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce.
  • Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons.
  • Seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Fresh Herbs (Optional): Chopped parsley or cilantro for garnish.

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with foil or parchment paper.

2. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Rub the pork with olive oil, then coat with the seasoning blend.

3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.

4. Transfer the seared pork to the baking dish, brush generously with barbecue sauce, cover with foil, and bake for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

5. Allow the pork to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serve with remaining barbecue sauce and fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the pork.

Experiment with different types of barbecue sauce.

Baste the pork with barbecue sauce during baking for a thicker coating.

For a crispy exterior, broil the pork for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking time.
