Description
A mouthwatering fusion of flavors that blends the irresistible cheeseburger with the classic comfort of Italian lasagna.
Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Prepping the Ingredients: Before you begin assembling the lasagna, make sure to have all your ingredients prepped and ready to go. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, ensuring they are al dente. Fry the bacon until crispy, then crumble it. Mince the garlic, and gather all the remaining ingredients.
2. Cooking the Ground Beef and Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the minced garlic, salt, and pepper until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
3. Making the Sauce: Once the ground beef is cooked, stir in the marinara sauce and ranch dressing. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
4. Cooking the Lasagna Noodles: While the sauce is simmering, make sure your lasagna noodles are cooked al dente according to the package instructions. Drain and set them aside, ready to be layered.
5. Layering the Ingredients: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Begin by spreading a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the dish. Top with 4 lasagna noodles, then sprinkle with the crumbled bacon, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat these layers, ending with a final layer of cheese on top.
6. Covering and Baking: Cover the prepared lasagna with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
7. Finishing Touches: For the perfect golden-brown, melty cheese topping, broil the lasagna for a minute or two at the end of the baking time, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Notes
Leftover lasagna can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days. For longer-term storage, freeze individual portions for up to 3 months. When freezing, wrap tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to prevent freezer burn. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before reheating. Avoid refreezing thawed lasagna to maintain texture and quality.
