Description
Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon is a flavor explosion, combining the juicy tenderness of pork chops with the rich, smoky goodness of Gouda cheese and crispy bacon.
Ingredients
- 2 pound boneless pork chops
- 2 cup smoked Gouda cheese, shredded
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Create a pocket in each pork chop by cutting into the side, being careful not to cut all the way through.
3. Stuff each pocket with shredded smoked Gouda and crumbled bacon.
4. Season the pork chops with olive oil, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
7. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
8. Deglaze the skillet with chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits.
9. Stir in butter until melted and combined to create a sauce.
10. Serve the pork chops drizzled with the sauce and garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Serve alongside creamy mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
