Description

Pork tenderloin is a beloved cut of meat that has long held a cherished place in culinary traditions around the world. Its delicate texture and versatile flavor make it a staple ingredient in many households. But when you pair this succulent pork with a creamy, tangy Dijon sauce, the result is a mouthwatering dish that will have your taste buds dancing with delight.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pound pork tenderloin, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.

2. Season the pork tenderloin with salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, and onion powder. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, and sear the pork on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.

3. Transfer the pork to the oven and roast until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. Remove from the oven and let the pork rest for 5 minutes.

4. While the pork rests, return the skillet to medium heat. Add the butter and lemon juice, then stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, stir in the dried thyme, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Slice the tenderloin into thick medallions, arrange them on a platter, and pour the creamy Dijon sauce over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

This dish pairs beautifully with creamy garlic mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables like Brussels sprouts or asparagus, or a fresh green salad.
