- 2 pound beef chuck roast
- 2 cup beef broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 ounce egg noodles
- Fresh parsley (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Place the seasoned beef into your slow cooker, then add the beef broth, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir gently to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and let the beef simmer on low heat for 8 hours or on high heat for 4-5 hours, until the meat is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- About 30 minutes before the beef is done, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain them well and set them aside until the beef is ready.
- Once the beef is fall-apart tender, shred it right in the slow cooker using two forks or tongs. Gently stir the shredded beef into the flavorful broth.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the slow cooker and stir to coat them in the beefy broth and shredded meat. Let the dish warm through for 10-15 minutes.
