Description
Spicy Cajun Chicken Linguine is a creamy, flavorful pasta dish that combines Cajun spices, tender chicken, and a rich sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 1/2 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 10 ounce linguine pasta
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove from skillet, let rest, and slice into bite-sized pieces.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
3. In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, Cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
4. Toss cooked linguine into the Cajun cream sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency. Gently fold in sliced Cajun chicken.
Notes
Serve hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley. Pairs well with a crisp salad or garlic bread.
