- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 large peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and set it aside.

3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
4. One by one, beat in the eggs, then stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Mix in the sour cream, then gradually add the dry ingredients, stirring just until combined.
6. Gently fold in half of the sliced peaches. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top with remaining peach slices.
7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. While the cake is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
9. Once the cake has cooled completely, drizzle the glaze over the top. Slice and serve.
Notes
Choose ripe peaches for best flavor.
Ensure butter is softened to room temperature for easy creaming.
