Description
Sweet & Spicy Ground Turkey Broccoli Bowls are a flavorful and nutritious dinner option that combines savory ground turkey, tender broccoli, and a delightful blend of sweet and spicy seasonings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 3 cup broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 to 2 teaspoon sriracha
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks, until it’s browned and cooked through.
- Toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and 2 to 3 tablespoon of water to the skillet. Cover and steam for 3 to 5 minutes, until the broccoli is tender-crisp. Uncover and let any excess water cook off.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir to coat the turkey and broccoli. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and become glossy.
- Spoon the Sweet & Spicy Ground Turkey Broccoli mixture over cooked rice, and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
