This Tater Tot Pizza Casserole is the ultimate comfort food fusion, combining the savory goodness of ground beef, colorful vegetables, and classic pizza flavors, all topped with crispy tater tots and gooey cheese. It’s a crowd-pleaser that’s perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or game day gatherings!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/Italian sausage)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat and add diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread the beef and sauce mixture evenly across the bottom.
  5. Layer the frozen tater tots on top, followed by shredded mozzarella cheese and sliced pepperoni.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the tater tots are golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Let cool slightly before garnishing with fresh basil.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
