Description
Tequila Lime Wings are a delightful fusion of zesty citrus and the smooth, smoky notes of tequila, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 2 pound chicken wings
- 1/3 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoon lime zest
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the tequila, lime juice, lime zest, olive oil, garlic, honey, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and cayenne. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat them evenly. Cover and let the wings marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or even overnight if you have the time.
2. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the rack. Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping them halfway, until they’re golden and crispy.
3. Garnish with fresh cilantro (if desired) and serve with a side of lime wedges.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider using an air fryer or grilling the wings instead of baking. Pat the wings dry before cooking to prevent steaming.
