Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni

  • 2 cups whole milk (or substitute with heavy cream for extra creaminess)

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional, for added flavor)

  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder (optional, for a hint of tang)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)


Instructions

  • Cook Macaroni: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook until al dente, according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  • Make Cheese Sauce: In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Pour in the milk (or cream) and stir gently until heated through.

  • Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Stir continuously until the sauce is velvety and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and mustard powder if using.

  • Combine & Serve: Return the cooked macaroni to the pot and stir until every piece is thoroughly coated with the creamy cheese sauce.

  • Garnish: Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve hot.

  • Want it extra creamy? Swap milk for heavy cream.
