Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 12 small flour tortillas
- Cooking spray
- Sour cream, for serving
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by browning the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Be sure to stir occasionally until the beef is no longer pink. Once cooked, drain any excess fat to keep your taquitos from being greasy.
- In the same skillet, add the taco seasoning, softened cream cheese, and diced tomatoes with green chilies to the cooked beef. Stir well until all ingredients are combined thoroughly. Keep stirring until the cream cheese melts completely and everything is warm and creamy.
- Take a small flour tortilla and spoon 2-3 tablespoon of the beef mixture onto it. Roll it tightly, ensuring the filling is secured inside. If needed, use toothpicks to help keep the taquito closed. Repeat this step for all tortillas until the filling is used up.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. While it’s heating up, spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the taquitos seam-side down in the air fryer basket. Give them a light spray of cooking spray on top to enhance browning. Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time until they’re golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the taquitos from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute. Garnish them with chopped green onions and serve with sour cream on the side.
Notes
To achieve the perfect crispy texture for your Air Fryer Loaded Cheeseburger Taquitos, ensure that they are spaced out properly in the basket. Don’t overcrowd them; this allows for hot air to circulate around each taquito, resulting in even cooking.
