- 1 lb bok choy
- 4 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, finely sliced
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil, divided
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash the bok choy and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat 1 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced garlic and mushrooms, and stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant and slightly softened.
- Add the prepared bok choy to the pan and continue stir-frying for another 1 to 2 minutes until the bok choy begins wilting but maintains its vibrant color and tender-crisp texture.
- Stir in the light soy sauce and oyster sauce. Drizzle the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of oil over the top and toss everything together until evenly coated.
Notes
This dish pairs beautifully with steamed rice or noodles. You can also add cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu for extra protein.
