Instructions
- Season the diced chicken with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the seasoned chicken until browned and cooked through.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in all-purpose flour to create a roux and cook briefly.
- Slowly whisk in milk, broth, or half-and-half until the sauce is lump-free and creamy.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese, dried thyme or parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the sauce.
- Allow the sauce to simmer until it reaches desired thickness.
- Divide cooked rice among serving bowls and top with sautéed chicken.
- Generously spoon creamy garlic sauce over chicken and rice.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, sliced green onions, or a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
