  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and melt butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
  4. Sprinkle in the flour and stir constantly for about one minute to create a roux.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and stir to eliminate lumps, then add heavy cream and let simmer until thickened.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, and let simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
